So you wish to apply to Liquid Courage, good for you. All you have to do is read this short section and then you will be on your merry little way to becoming a star!

Our raiding times are as follows: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday – All days from 20.00 to 23.30, server time. You need to be online 15 minutes beforehand in order to receive an invite.

Now, this isn’t your average trade channel guild, we have standards and we will not allow crappy players to remain in the guild for long. This is not a stepping stone where you can learn to raid and gear up for better guilds. We expect you to know how to raid!

With that being said, register an account on our forums (leave the guild code field empty) and start applying!

2 - Recommended reading before applying.

If you choose to apply to our guild, it is highly advisable that you read this entire post. This is mostly due to the important information in here that can help prevent people from joining the guild, only to leave 2 weeks after due to not agreeing with guild rules.

Anyone can apply, and we urge you to if you are interested. Even though we seem very strict and hardcore, we will give everyone a fair evaluation as long as they have read these rules and can accept them. I'll say right now though; if you don't like our rules, don't bother applying, we won't change them for you and you won't get special treatment.

What we expect of you as a person:

Attendance
– You need to be able to attend 3 raids per week at bare minimum.

Availability – We need you to be available when you sign up for a raid. This means showing up, staying till the end and not having to take extended AFK periods. If your not old enough to decide when or where to eat dinner, or if you need to kiss your mother goodnight 8 times during a raid, don’t bother applying.

Loyality
- You are in our guild and thus you are expected to put this guild before any other.

Maturity – There are many ways to be immature. There is funny immature and there is retard immature. 3 guesses as to which one we don’t allow in the guild.

Patience - Every new raid encounter will pose a challenge and we will not take the easy way out. We may pick the easier of two strategies, but we will never make an encounter or instance easier than it is supposed to be. This means no exploits, no “clever use of game mechanics” and no skipping of optional bosses just because they are difficult to beat. We will do everything as intended, in the intended order.

Tolerance – People will crack jokes about race/religion/sex/etc, and it is just a matter of time before someone hits your demographic. It is a joke, it is for fun, deal with it or don’t bother applying. There will be no drama in this guild about subjects like that, unless the person actually meant ill intent, in which case it will be dealt with by officers, not by you.

What we expect of you as a player:

Knowledge – You are expected to know your class in and out. You can perform at a top level and always know how to gear and spec for the best possible raid performance.

Experience – You need to have raiding experience. We don’t care if you have cleared MC or Sunwell, as long as you have it. This means you know how to cooperate and complement with other raid participans, while still doing optimally your job. This is something that comes with experience.

Raiding skills – Skills might not be the right word to use here, it is WoW after all. Regardless, you need to be able to move away from fires, use encounter specific items at a seconds notice and be able to perform in a very chaotic environment for 20 minutes at a time.

Preparation – You will come to every raid fully prepared. This means enough consumables to last you an entire night of wipes, being fully repaired, having enough cash to repair during the raid and know strategies for boss encounters. We will not spend 15 minutes before every encounter explaining it to new people; you are expected to know what is going to happen and when.

What you can expect of us:

Top content raiding - The main aim of Liquid Courage is to provide a facility for its community to enjoy ALL aspects this game is providing as soon as possible. It is a hudge organizational and social work invested to get the show running and we are willing to share this with you in  an exchange of your raiding expertize.

Fair loot distribution – We use an open bidding DKP system. This is set in stone, if you don’t like DKP or open bidding, you probably shouldn’t apply. We won’t change it for you.

Effective raiding – We will do everything in our power to make sure our raids are effective and fast. This means that anyone who slacks, goes AFK without warning or whines about loot, will get removed from the raid. Everyone will corpse run after a wipe and everyone will help buffing. Swift wipe recovery is essential, and we will enforce it to ensure that everyone is having a good time while raiding.

Experience – Our guild leader and officers have all been in charge of previous guilds. Our raid leaders have been raid leaders before and our class leaders have been class leaders before. This means that we know what we are doing, and you can expect us to excel at our “jobs”.

Thank you for taking your time to read this post, and may our guild tag become yours and fun times be plentiful!

3 – Got accepted?

People you need to whisper for an invite :

Danielas, Playróne, Bragnae, Komaron, Gallowbraid, Hoofey

Feel free to whisper any member of the guild to ask if an officer is on their alt, if you don't see any of the above listed online.

We hope you have fun and enjoy your stay in Liquid Courage!

Once you're invited, make sure you take some time to read this thread! (you need member access on the forums to see) -> http://www.liquid-courage.co.uk/index.php?comp=forums&cat=12&thread=2031
